LeEco unveils the Le Pro 3 AI Edition with dual rear cameras

That LeEco smartphone with a dual rear camera setup that looks like a robot face finally has a name. The Chinese company took the wraps off it today, and it's called Le Pro 3 AI Edition. It's not the Le Max 3 as we thought.
It will become available in China on April 14 in gold, rose gold, and black. It will be offered in two versions, "standard" and "eco". The latter is the higher-end.
The standard Le Pro 3 AI Edition has a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen as well as 13 MP + 13 MP dual rear cameras (one monochrome, one color) with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and a dual-LED flash. Video recording in 4K is possible at 30fps. If you want to go slo-mo, there's 720p120 for you.

LeEco Le Pro 3 AI Edition

The selfie snapper is an 8 MP unit with f/2.2 aperture and 1.4um pixel size, with a 76.5-degree field of view. The standard version is powered by MediaTek's Helio X23 chipset, aided by 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The phone has a 4,000 mAh battery and it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow underneath LeEco's EUI.
The "eco" variant bumps up the storage to 64GB and uses the more powerful Helio X27 SoC from MediaTek. Otherwise it's identical to the "standard" iteration. They both have the following dimensions: 152.4 x 75.1 x 7.5mm. Either model weighs 168g.
The Le Pro 3 AI Edition is priced at CNY 1,799 (approximately $260 or €245) in the standard configuration, and CNY 2,399 ($347 or €328) if you go for the "eco" one.
Regardless of which you pick, the Le Pro 3 AI Edition comes with its own virtual assistant built-in - LeLe. You can start talking to it even when the screen is off, and apparently it's integrated with all of LeEco's apps. It's also supposed to learn over time and become better at what it does.

The Rock teams up with Apple for a funny Siri commercial

The Rock teams up with Apple for a funny Siri commercialTwas a sunny day, everyone minding their own business until Dwayne Johnson - The Rock released a poster for a movie, co-starring Apple’s Siri. Later he clarified it’s actually “a crazy fun commercial”.

The video starts with Johnson nonchalantly cutting a Bonzai tree and trying to record a catch phrase. Then he asks Siri for his schedule and goes on an adventure. The Rock asks Siri for his Lifegoals list and then to call him a Lyft ride. He switches seats with the driver as the video references the stunts Johnson performed in the latest Fast and Furious movies. Siri also brings up the temperature in Rome, and next thing you see is the actor hijacking a plane to the Italian capital.
While hanging from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and painting, The Rock asks Siri to read the last email. Later he shows his fashion line and texts through the voice assistant. The whole 3 minutes 45 seconds is filled with Siri responding to every …

The Nexus 4 is getting some CyanogenMod love with 14.1 nightly builds

The Nexus 4 is getting some CyanogenMod love with 14.1 nightly builds If you are the type of person, who tends to form attachments to particular tech and don't really feel like moving on or upgrading regularly, then chances are you have already found your perfect phone years back and are still with it. If that is the case and taking into account you are currently on a tech-centric site, chances are you are familiar witch CyanogenMod and might even be running the custom OS. Then, you will also be happy to hear that despite the recent calamities over at Cyanogen Inc., the dedicated custom ROM group is still alive and well and constantly expanding its device reach. The team appears to currently be working mostly on CyanogenMod 14.1, which is based on the bleeding-edge Android 7.1 Nougat. Their dedication must really run deep, as nightly builds will soon be available for the four-year-old LG Nexus 4 (mako) as well. In the meantime, there is an experimental build already up and you ca…
